AsiaMalls Management Receives May Day Model Partnership Award 2009 | |
AsiaMalls was given the prestigious May Day Model Partnership Award (Institutional Partnership) by the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) on 16 May 2009. The award recognizes AsiaMalls' role as a "model institutional partner". By assisting shop tenants and service providers to improve skills and capabilities of their staff, AsiaMalls has helped to play a crucial role in assisting these companies to ride through the current economic downturn and to remain competitive. The award recognizes AsiaMalls' efforts in ongoing On-Site training in customer service under SPURS and recognition and support given to shops with excellent service. Minister for Manpower Gan Kim Yong, NTUC President John De Payva and Singapore National Exmployers Federation Vice President Bob Tan presented the May Day Model Award trophy and certificates. Ms Stephanie Ho, General Manager, Mr Ho Tai Niap, Senior Technician and AsiaMalls' Excellent Service Staff for 2008 together with AsiaMalls' working partners, e2i and Kaplan Professional and tenant Kopitiam Investments, all shared the honour of the momentous occasion. | ![]() |
Preventive Measures for Staff, Shoppers and Tenants Against Influenza A Virus | |
Since April 2009, all six malls managed by AsiaMalls have implemented a comprehensive plan of precautionary measures to guard against the Influenza A Virus Pandemic. • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting; General Manger Ms Stephanie Ho emphasized, “We will not spare any cost to ensure that a high level of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times in our malls. Liang Court’s Grand Re-launch advertisements hit home by winning not one, but two spots in the advertising industry’s awards - SPH’s Ad Showcase 2008 (Creative Buys) and SPH’s AdVine (March 09): SPH’s Ad Showcase 2008 (Creative Buys) which gives recognition to the best print advertisements in SPH's stable of newspapers. SPH’s AdVine (March 09 issue) - a monthly advertising newsletter. To build up shoppers’ anticipation of the new mall’s offerings, teaser advertisements in manga-style comic strips featured a young girl Naomi who has found a new interest. The full story on Naomi in beautifully illustrated manga-style comics on a double page spread took readers on a walk-through tour of the revitalized mall. Naomi literally morphed into a real-life character - she created hype about mall events through Facebook and appeared in person during Liang Court’s Grand Opening events! Liang Court - One of Singapore's First 2 Energy Smart Retail Malls | |
Liang Court was recognized by the National Environment Agency (NEA) in March 09 as one of Singapore’s first two Energy Smart Retail Malls. The Energy Smart Retail Mall label recognizes the top 25 percent of participating shopping malls that have achieved exemplary energy efficiency and good indoor environmental quality. Liang Court’s energy smart measures:

Tampines 1 Receives BCA Green Mark Award | |
Living up to its name as the New Generation Mall, Tampines 1 received the BCA Green Mark Award from the Building & Construction Authority within the first month of mall opening day on 9 April 09.
